Coach Valastro -
"That was an amazing win for our
football team and our school.
Everyone on the team elevated their
play. The first half was awesome. We
relaxed in the second half and made
a few mistakes; we can correct all
those things. I was proud of the
defense; they really got after HF.
The Bucs earned some respect Friday
night.
Player of the week was earned by
Tramain Thomas. He had 177 yards
and 5 touchdowns on 15 carries and
did an awesome job running the
offense. Scott Penny also had
an awesome game at the tight end
position, helping to open holes for
Tramain. The O line, Carlos
Trevino, Arick Hartman,
Tanner Mazzola, Dylan
Kramer, Colton Dryden,
and Brandon Streeter, did a
really nice job. They are getting
better every week."
Coach East -
"It’s always great to beat
Orangefield and HF."
Coach Todd - "It was a very
exciting game with a playoff
atmosphere. The kids played really
hard and did the job they were ask
throughout the week of practice."
Coach Cauthern - "We
have co-defensive players of the
week for our game against Hamshire
Fannett. Kendall Barrow and
Brian Vigers are the
defensive players of the week. Going
into the week we knew our outside
linebackers and our defensive line
had a huge role to play in order for
us to be successful. We knew they
were going to run the ball right at
us and we had some good tendencies
from scouting, so we decided to
incorporate a few automatic stunts
into the game plan that involved our
outside linebackers and defensive
tackle. Both of these young men
executed their job to perfection.
An great example of this came on the
first play from scrimmage for them.
Kendall came on an automatic stunt
and caused a fumble and Brian came
off his stunt and recovered the
fumble. Kendall also had another
caused fumble later in the game.
These two young men had jobs to do
that required them to sacrifice
their personal stats in order for
the team to be successful and they
did exactly what they were asked."
