Coach Valastro - "I was
really pleased with the way we
played in all phases of the game.
The defense was incredible. Special
teams did a fine job, and the O line
came ready to play. We still made
some mistakes, but we are getting
better.
Offensive player of the game was
awarded to Vance McDonald.
Vance was outstanding at blocking, hustling, and catching the
football. Tramain Thomas also
had a great night at quarterback. He
rushed for 114 yards on 8 carries
and 3 touchdowns all in the first
half. Carrington, Raymond,
Lambert, and Hallmark
all had notable offensive
performances."
Coach East - "The kids played
hard the whole game, and the
starters were able to get out of the
game early. I wish all the games
were like this one."
Coach Cauthern - "Overall we
played solid defense all night. We
stress winning the line of scrimmage
and allowing our linebackers and
free safety to run and make plays.
For the most part that is exactly
what happened. The kids are doing a
great job of understanding how we
all fit together, and we are getting
better every week. We still have a
few things to improve on, but the
kids understand that. It is
exciting to see our kids really want
to shut people down and not give up
a yard on defense. We have stressed
the fact that playing great defense
will help us accomplish our goal and
the kids are buying in completely to
that belief." |
