The game was hard fought from the start, but the Lady Bucs came out on top with a free throw from Konnor George with only 18 seconds left in the game.  All of the girls played their hearts out; and they came home with first place medals to show for it.  Konnor George was selected tournament MVP. Team members include: Hannah Smith, Zoe Zbranek, Alex Extejt, Torrie Beasley, Chelsea Batiste, Konnor George, and Mattie East. Nicole Ogden is their coach.

The East Chambers Junior High Cross Country team attended the Liberty Cross Country Invitational Meet on Saturday, October 13, 2007. This was a very large meet consisting of 1A - 5A schools. The girls team was represented by 5 runners while the boys team was represented with 3.  In both races there were over 110 runners. The course was a rolling course that took the runners around a lake.  The weather was perfect for running with much improved conditions from last week.  Sara Bertrand came in 13th and Otilia Velazquez placed 26th.  All runners improved their times and are working hard to prepare for the district meet next week.  Due to injuries and band competitions, the high school team was not available to run.
