The TechLiteracy Assessment by
learning.com authentically assesses students’ technology
knowledge and skills in spreadsheets, word processing,
database, multimedia and presentation, telecommunication and
Internet, systems and fundamentals, and social and ethical
issues. ECISD is utilizing this assessment measurement at
grades 3, 5, and 8, as well as with all district teachers and
administrators. The results of this assessment will help to
meet accountability requirements, identify technology
challenges, individualize instruction, evaluate technology
use, and set goals for future technology instruction,
programs, and investment.
